I knew there would be more aggressive mosquitoes on a farm, but I didn't expect this!
My family and I recently moved away from the hectic city to live a more relaxed life on a farm.
It was quite a change, but I was prepared for a lot of things.
What I didn't expect, however, was that we would be constantly attacked by mosquitoes here.
They buzzed around us at night, and in the morning we all had these itchy, red spots on our skin.
My wife and I searched the internet for the best mosquito repellents, but most were full of toxic chemicals or contained ingredients that our four-year-old daughter was allergic to.
I didn't want my little girl to get bitten or suffer from allergies!
So I asked my friends in the area if they had any tips or tricks for dealing with the mosquitoes.
Because of this new reality, we started reading more articles about mosquitoes, and we became really scared.
Mosquitoes can kill up to one million people a year – twenty times more than snakes, which “only” kill 50,000 people a year.
And you can't even see if a mosquito is carrying dengue, Zika, malaria, or chikungunya – so it's better to CATCH it than to regret it later!
